Forca di Presta is one of the most fascinating places in the Sibillini Mountains National Park and can be reached in just 45 minutes from Villa La Passione.
Leaving the villa, you travel through the beautiful countryside of the Ascoli Piceno hinterland before joining the S.S.4 Salaria towards Rome. After passing Acquasanta Terme, you will soon reach Arquata del Tronto. From here, take Provincial Road 89 towards Passo del Galluccio. The road gradually climbs through small villages before continuing towards Forca di Presta, the mountain pass at the foot of Monte Vettore, where the landscape suddenly opens up before your eyes. Once you arrive at Forca di Presta, you can park near the beginning of the trail.
From here starts “The Trail for Everyone”, beginning close to Rifugio degli Alpini and leading all the way to Rifugio Belvedere. The Trail for Everyone has been designed to be accessible and enjoyable for most people. It follows a simple and easy route of approximately 7 km there and back, with a walking time of around 3 hours in total. As you walk at a gentle pace, you are surrounded by the vast, open landscapes of the Sibillini Mountains. On clear days, the panorama extends all the way to the Adriatic Sea. The walk ends at Rifugio Belvedere, a wonderful panoramic spot where you can stop, take a breath and simply enjoy the beauty of the mountains.
